Next Level Nexus helps veterans pursue independent medical evaluations that may support service-connection claims through professional record review and medical nexus opinions, when appropriate.
No payment is required for the preliminary screening.
Veteran-focused service • Independent evaluation • Professional record review • Thoughtful screening
Built to serve veterans with professionalism, transparency, and respect.
Your medical history deserves a careful, independent review. Next Level Nexus, operated by Blue Canopy Holdings LLC, helps assess whether your available records and circumstances may support a medical nexus opinion.
A nexus opinion explains a clinician’s medical reasoning about a possible connection between a condition and military service—or an already service-connected condition. We begin with a free preliminary screening to assess suitability before any paid evaluation.
Our role is independent medical evaluation. We do not represent you before the VA or promise a particular opinion or benefits decision.
A well-supported opinion explains the medical connection, rather than simply stating a conclusion. The question may involve a current condition and an event, exposure, injury, or illness during service (direct service connection), or a condition caused or worsened by an already service-connected disability (secondary service connection).
Diagnosis history: What condition has been identified, and what findings support it?
Service treatment records: What do the records show about relevant events and treatment during service?
Post-service medical records: How has the condition been evaluated and treated since service?
Onset, continuity, and progression: When did symptoms begin, how did they continue, and what changed over time?
Medical rationale: Does the documented evidence support the proposed relationship, including relevant alternative explanations?
The available evidence, clinical findings, and case circumstances shape the independent conclusion. A private nexus letter is not required in every VA claim.

Primary Medical Evaluator
Clinical review focuses on the available medical information and the reasoning relevant to each requested independent opinion.
Share initial contact and screening information. No payment is required. Do not submit medical records or highly sensitive identifiers at this stage.
Your screening is reviewed administratively and clinically to assess suitability, available expertise, and applicable licensing authority.
If appropriate, you receive next-step instructions and service details to review before deciding whether to proceed.
Submit relevant records through the approved secure process. The evaluator reviews the medical history, chronology, and evidence relevant to the requested connection.
If accepted for service, the evaluation is completed and the findings are delivered. The opinion reflects independent medical judgment and the evidence reviewed.
Screening does not guarantee acceptance, a favorable opinion, or VA benefits approval.
Independent medical reviews. Clear explanations. Respect for your service.
Next Level Nexus provides a structured process for veterans seeking an independent evaluation of medical evidence that may be relevant to a VA disability claim. Every request begins with a free preliminary screening. A qualified clinician determines whether the proposed evaluation is appropriate before any paid engagement begins.
Share the general type of evaluation you need and the kinds of supporting records available. We assess whether your request may fit our clinical services. There is no screening fee, and no medical records are needed at this stage.
$0 — always free. Includes a 20-minute consultation at no charge.
A focused independent review of the relevant evidence for one identified condition. The evaluation may consider medical history, service information, and reasoning for or against the proposed relationship. The exact scope and fee are provided before you agree to proceed.
$600 — one nexus opinion letter for one condition. 14 business days from confirmed receipt of complete records.
Each medical question receives its own assessment. After screening, we consider clinical expertise, available documentation, and the proposed scope and pricing. Not every request involving multiple conditions can be accepted.
$900 — nexus opinion letters for up to 3 conditions ($250 for each additional condition). 14–21 business days from confirmed receipt of complete records.
Review of a possible medical relationship to military service, or whether an already service-connected condition caused or aggravated another condition. Our role is independent medical reasoning, not deciding benefits eligibility.
Identify your deadline during screening. Expedited review depends on clinical suitability, clinician availability, sufficient records, and enough time. Rush availability, fees, and delivery estimates are not guaranteed at screening.
$1,100 single-condition / $1,400 multi-condition (up to 3 conditions). 7 business days (single) or 7–10 business days (multi) from confirmed receipt of complete records.
Before you decide, we explain the proposed review scope, records needed, fee, and expected timing after records are complete. You can review the details before agreeing to a paid evaluation. Findings may be supportive, non-supportive, or inconclusive; a favorable opinion or VA decision is not guaranteed.
Full refund if our clinician finds your claim is not supportable. Payment is due when you are invited to proceed, before records review begins. Business days are Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays.
